NoWing Media is a digital press publisher based in Madrid. We create and run news media in English and Spanish.
Who we are
We are an independent publisher dedicated to current affairs. We see the press as a service to readers: reporting what is happening with clarity, context and rigour, and reaching audiences in different countries.
Our mission
We want staying informed to be easier and more reliable. That is why we care as much about how we tell a story as about what we tell: we explain why each story matters, separate what is confirmed from what is not yet known, and give the context needed to understand it.
What we do
We handle the whole editorial process: choosing stories, producing and verifying information, editing text and images, and developing and running our digital platforms.
Areas of coverage
Our work covers general news, politics, economics and finance, sport, society and culture. Each area has its own approach and its own readers, held to the same standard.
How we work
- Selection
- We follow the press of different countries every day to spot what matters and avoid repetition.
- Production
- Each story starts from checked sources and is written with its own angle and text in each language.
- Review
- Before publication, every piece goes through an editorial check and a legal one. If it does not pass, it is not published.
- Follow-up
- When a story changes, we publish the news and flag it on what we had already reported.
Our principles
- Rigour
- We check information against open sources and, where they exist, primary ones. What cannot be verified is not published.
- Advertising kept apart
- Advertising, where present, is labelled as such and kept separate from editorial content.
- Corrections
- We correct errors visibly and respond to requests for rectification.
- Intellectual property
- We write our own texts and only use images whose licence allows it.
- Technology
- We apply technology, including artificial intelligence, in our editing processes, with editorial and legal checks before publication.
Our readers
We publish in English and Spanish for readers in different countries. Stories are written with the reader in mind rather than simply translated: what a local reader takes for granted is explained to someone reading from elsewhere.
Digital media
We work only in digital. We make sure our platforms are fast, accessible and easy to read on any device, and that they respect the privacy of their visitors.
